Ottertail Farm we are dedicated to breeding and training exceptional warmbloods and Iberian Sporthorses accessible to up-and-coming dressage, eventing and hunter/jumper amateurs as well as the professional rider. Naturally,
rideability, movement, temperament, inherited soundness and conformation are the essential components. If the young horses turn out to be an eye-catching pinto sporthorse or have chrome galore, all the better!
We are a small, but full service facility with both indoor and outdoor riding arenas, jumps, roundpen, trails, washstall, tackroom and a comfortable office for relaxing.
We provide a friendly boarding experience and train horses for show and pleasure, as well as show our own offspring. We have a nice select herd of broodmares and produce athletic, beautiful and reasonably priced registered Hanoverians, Oldenburgs, Dutch Warmbloods and Iberian sporthorses.
Situated on 63 acres in central Illinois, we are only a few hours from some of the best competition venues in the country. We are less than 3 hours from Chicago, St. Louis, and Louisville suburbs, as well as two hours from Indianapolis. Visiting our farm to see and purchase our young horses is convenient and we always welcome visitors!
Training
We offer professional training by our resisdent trainer Rachel Hill, from groundwork to FEI dressage. Hunter- jumper starting and refining.

Young Horses for Sale
Young stock available for sale. Bred by careful matching of top national and international stallions with quality approved mares.
Current year foals, green broke three-year-olds and up to 5 year olds with show experience, are available at accessible prices.
Lessons
We offer individual and small group lessons.
 Dressage, huntseat and
jumping lessons are available,
as well as
prep for shows
and coaching.
Or
just become a better rider and partner with your horse. Lesson horses available for all levels.
Boarding
We offer full boarding, with all the amenities. Enjoy large stalls, indoor and outdoor arenas, trails and best of all, a positive friendly environment.
