Welcome to Ottertail Farm offering Sporthorses of a different Color!

ere at Ottertail Farm we are dedicated to breeding exceptional warmbloods and Iberian Sporthorses accessible to up-and-coming dressage, three-day eventing and hunter/jumper amateurs as well as the professional rider. Naturally, rideability, movement, temperament, inherited soundness and conformation are the essential components. If the young horses turn out to be an eye-catching pinto sporthorse or have chrome galore, all the better!

Here we seek out dressage and jumping sires from around the world. Stallions include elite sires such as Werbellin, Iroko, Art Deco, Consul, Sempatico M and Navarre GF, as well as our own stallion.

Our horses are registered and/or branded in a number of registries, including Hanoverian, ISR/Oldenburg, NAWPN, IALHA, PtHA, AWR and IRC.

We will train your horse for the next level, start a young horse or train horse and rider together, for competition and a better partnership. Rachel works with dressage, hunters, jumpers, and green horses. (See Training and Lesson page)

STALLIONS .

Nevado OTR is an exceptional pinto Iberian Sporthorse standing at stud. Navarre GF his three time national champion sire passes on bone, elegant movement and character, as well as true black. We welcomed Nevado's first crop of youngsters this spring. See Navegante on our "FOALS" page.

Signature our young Oldenburg stallion was a 2006 Premium Foal and has already had success in the showring. Watch for him in our NEWS, below, as he makes his mark. This stunning mover will pass on that relaxed and keen temperament. He will finish at about 17h. His debut as a stallion will be spring 2010.
